Read this first — the app never handles money. Mnwasel has no in-app payment feature of any kind. The fare is agreed through the driver's offer inside the app, and the payment itself is then made directly by the customer to the driver, in person. Mnwasel never collects, holds, processes, or refunds money for trips.
1 What Mnwasel is (and isn't)
Mnwasel is a technology platform that connects customers who need transport or delivery services with independent drivers operating motorbikes, cars, tuk-tuks, and buses. Mnwasel is not a transport company, courier, or carrier, and does not itself provide transportation or delivery services.
Drivers on the platform are independent providers. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of Mnwasel, and Mnwasel does not direct or control how they perform trips.
2 Payments — no in-app payment
The application contains no in-app payment functionality. The price of a trip is agreed inside the app — drivers send offers stating what they will charge, and the customer accepts the offer that suits them. All payment handling then occurs manually and directly between the customer and the driver; the app itself never processes or transfers money. In particular:
- The fare or delivery fee is the amount stated in the driver's offer that the customer accepted in the app. It is paid hand-to-hand (typically in cash, in USD or LBP) or by any other method the two parties agree on between themselves.
- Mnwasel does not collect, process, transmit, hold, escrow, or refund any trip payment, and does not store any payment card or banking information.
- Any amount shown in the app (if any) is indicative only and does not constitute a charge by Mnwasel.
- Any dispute about a fare or payment is a matter strictly between the customer and the driver. Mnwasel may assist with contact information where legally appropriate but bears no responsibility for payment disputes.
- Nobody is authorized to collect money "on behalf of Mnwasel" for trips. Never share card details or make transfers to anyone claiming to represent the platform.
Driver subscriptions to access the platform, where applicable, are likewise settled manually and are never charged through any in-app payment feature.
3 Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information (including a working phone number), keep your credentials confidential, and remain responsible for all activity on your account. One person may hold a customer account, a driver account, or both, but each account must be in their real identity.
Drivers must hold a valid driving license appropriate to their vehicle class, valid vehicle registration and any legally required insurance, and must comply with all applicable Lebanese laws and regulations at all times.
4 Orders, cancellations & cargo rules
Placing a request in the app is an invitation to nearby drivers; a trip is formed only when a driver accepts. Either party may cancel before pickup, but repeated abusive cancellations (by customers or drivers) may lead to account restrictions.
For cargo and "both" orders, the customer confirms that the goods shipped are lawful, safely packed, and accurately described. The following may never be sent through the platform: illegal goods, weapons, drugs, hazardous or flammable materials, live animals without prior driver agreement, and items exceeding the safe capacity of the selected vehicle. Drivers may refuse any item they consider unsafe or unlawful.
5 Conduct & safety
Treat other users with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, fraud, and any unlawful behavior are prohibited and may result in immediate suspension. Customers must not ask drivers to violate traffic laws or vehicle capacity limits; drivers must operate their vehicles safely and lawfully.
Mnwasel may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, misuse the platform, or endanger others, with or without prior notice.
6 Liability
Mnwasel provides the platform "as is" and "as available." Because trips are performed by independent drivers and all payments are made directly between customer and driver, Mnwasel is not a party to the transport contract and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, is not liable for: the acts or omissions of drivers or customers; loss of or damage to transported goods; personal injury arising from a trip; payment disputes; or delays, unavailability, or errors in the app.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
7 Privacy & data
To operate the service, Mnwasel processes the information you provide (name, phone number, account details) and trip information (pickup and dropoff locations, order history, and — for drivers who go online — live location while active). This data is used to match customers with drivers, display order status, and keep the platform safe.
Because there is no in-app payment, no payment card or banking data is ever collected or stored by the app. Mnwasel does not sell personal data. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support.
8 Changes, governing law & contact
Mnwasel may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always available in the app and on this page, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lebanon, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent Lebanese courts.
